Description
There are four power methods. Spring, Gas Ram CO2, or Pre charged Pneumatic. The maximum power permitted by UK law is 12ft lbs or 16 Joules. Power tends to vary according to the model and purpose. There are two calibers. The most popular is the lighter .177pellet for target shooting or .22 pellet which is usually preferred for permitted pest control. Models can be multi shot, or single shot Multi shot rifles use a rotating magazine, together with a bolt action, to propel the pellet into the chamber, or a spring or Gas Ram Break Barrel.
Stocks can be in a variety of wood finishes especially on the classic upper end models, or Black Tactical either wood or plastic.
